Online scheduling is fast and convenient because it skips the phone call… but that also means you're essentially playing the front desk. And there are things you need to know.
Short Version: Booking online means you're the one picking the visit type, checking your insurance, and confirming the time works — so if one of those turns out wrong… it's on you.
Two common mistakes both come down to the same thing — booking a visit type that isn't really yours.
Insurance cards, portals, and phone reps get this wrong constantly, and we understand that's not really your fault when it happens. But "my insurance said I was in-network" isn't something we can undo once you've been seen — the visit already happened.
A lot of places sell you an "hour massage" that's really about 50 minutes once you account for getting settled and wrapping up. Ours isn't — a 60-minute massage is 60 real hands-on minutes, front to back. That's on purpose, and it's a good thing — but it also means there's a real buffer built in before and after it. If you book your next visit right up against the massage's end time without knowing that, you'll still be on the table when your other appointment starts.
Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice and there's no charge at all — easy, no hard feelings. Inside 24 hours, the slot is already ours to have kept open for someone else, so it's charged in full.
That being said, tell us what happened…
A work emergency, a sick kid, car trouble, whatever it is — let us know, and we'll note the real reason on your file. It's still charged, but it's not the same as silence — or, as we call it, a no-call, no-show.
You read everything… we hope.
So we're confident you know the rules —
all that's left is picking your time.
